58 already Nuria what the hell??

This year I swore I wasn’t going to write about my birthday, announce it, or tell you anything about it, but you know me by now and I just can’t keep anything to myself… A lot of people say that’s a bad thing, that everything should be kept secret and that you shouldn’t share your life, but me, as always, I go against the wind (maybe that’s why things go the way they do for me hahahaha), but I am who I am, I like who I am, and I like myself more and more every day.
So in the end I decided: fuck it. I’m going to celebrate my birthday the way I always have, by looking back at everything I’ve lived through this year. If you’re interested, you’ll read it, and if you’re not, well, then you’re not reading this anyway, so who cares… Here we go.
This year has been an emotional bomb. A year without my mother, a year living in Madrid, so many changes that I’m slowly trying to get used to. After taking care of my mother for 6 years, my life had basically become being a caregiver. I lost jobs, friends, and my identity.
This year has been the year of trying to be reborn. I think it’s been kind of like the year of being in the womb, and I hope this coming year will finally be the year I’m born, when I learn again and start a new life full of hope and good things because, when it comes to the bad stuff, I think I’ve already filled my quota.
Uff, if I start telling you everything I’ve done this year, there’s a lot. Looking back, I really have to be very proud of myself…
Since I went back to acting 2 years ago, I honestly haven’t stopped doing things, some small, some big, but to me they are all equally important. During this time I’ve taken part in more than 15 audiovisual projects, including short films, music videos, series, a feature film and advertising. That’s not something you can say every day…
Some of those projects are already out, like my small part in Benidorm is Murder, where I had the chance to meet John Hannah (huge fan), and others are about to come out (I can’t wait).
I’m still learning and I’m incredibly grateful for all the opportunities that keep coming my way. When I get the finished projects back, sometimes I watch them and think… what the hell are you doing, Nuria? You’re crazy… But then I remind myself that life is a learning process and that everybody starts from zero. And that’s exactly what I want to do next year: be born and keep learning. I’ve already spent enough time managing everything, and now it’s time to keep learning…
Another achievement has been publishing Caregiver´s Chronicles which is getting a really good response, with several interviews, reviews and congratulations from people around me. Little by little it’s starting to reach people who don’t know me, and that makes me especially happy. I know my mother would be very proud.
And in between all of that, I’ve also kept working, creating courses, training, working on communication and marketing projects and social projects… because apparently I don’t know how to do just one thing at a time hahahaha.
Right now I’m between Madrid and Alicante, living in Madrid but going back and forth to make sure my kids are okay, although at almost 25 and 23 I think when I go to visit them they look at me like: what the hell are you doing here? We’re fine… Although when I leave again they ask, “When are you coming back?” But that’s mostly because I clean the house and do their laundry hahahahahaha.
It’s been a wonderful year. It’s had its moments, but I’m grateful to be able to celebrate another birthday, to have the opportunity to keep learning and improving.
I’m still sticking to the diet and the exercise too, which I have to say was hard for me at first, but now I’m hooked and committed... Something I never would have imagined myself saying a while ago hahahaha.
For next year I’m already building my vision board (that I’m definitely not sharing yet hahaha). What I did learn from last year’s vision board is that you have to be more specific, because a lot of the things I visualized actually manifested, but because I wasn’t specific enough, well ummm… they only happened halfway hahaha. So this year: specificssss.
Well, I’ve bored you enough already, but I feel great.
I wish myself a very happy birthday. I hope this coming year is full of health above all, money (yes, please), success and lots and lots of love…
Oh, and world peace, why not?
Oh, and that AI doesn’t kill us.
When I blow out the candles, I’ll make a wish for all of humanity. That way I get it all done at once…
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME.
