ALZHEIMER PROJECT

In 2019, my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Since she was living alone in Madrid, I had no other option but to bring her to Alicante to live with me and my children.

It’s been four very tough years for all of us, as we’ve witnessed my mother deteriorating gradually. However, we decided that the best thing we could do was maintain a positive attitude and try to make her as comfortable as possible, all while staying positive and finding moments to laugh.

In this space, I share my ongoing adventure, which you can follow on my YouTube channel or TikTok profile. I also invite you to read my latest book, “This Virus is a Ruin”, where I narrate how we experienced the pandemic together, and my “Caregiver Chronicles”, where I detail all the phases we are going through.

I hope that this section and the visual material help other people going through the same situation as us, and that they find peace and a humorous way to face such a cruel disease like Alzheimer’s.
