Phew… honestly, writing is getting harder and harder for me lately, but this time I’ve got some solid excuses. I’ve been completely wrapped up in my little chaos, new adventures, challenges, and experiences that are making me feel more alive than ever.

And today I want to share it all with you, so… grab your popcorn, let’s go!

So, where to begin?
You know that almost a year ago, I started… sneaking my head into the film world as an actress.

Those of you who’ve known me since I was a teenager know that being an actress has always been something I have wanted to be. And even though ballet always came first, during my years in Los Angeles I did get the chance to appear in a few music videos and commercials.

But due to life circumstances (um.. I think you’ll have to wait for in the  book about my life to come out to find out what the hell happened— for now, I’ll leave you in suspense), I couldn’t continue down that path.

And now, almost 35 years later, life has given me another chance.

Since that very first web series in English (which I already documented in my post “Life takes more turns than you expect”), I’ve worked on a few short films and done background acting in several series.

And just yesterday, I wrapped filming on another web series — this time in Spanish — where I played a lead role.

When they offered me the role, I kind of freaked out a bit, not gonna lie. They told me it would be 10 episodes, one per day, which meant learning a ton of lines (and you all know Nuria’s got the memory of a goldfish!)… and to top it off, each episode would be directed by a different director.

I thought about saying no. But deep down, I knew life throws us opportunities, and we have to face them with passion, courage, and excitement. And that’s exactly what I did.

I’ve got to say — although these past 10 days have been intense, they’ve definitely not been easy. I had to keep learning 10 full scripts (some with last-minute changes!), commuting on packed public transport during rush hour (and you know how much I love that with my claustrophobia… yikes).

On top of that, I kept working my day job in the afternoons (because yes, ladies and gents, I do have a job — I work from home, but I still work). Luckily, I have the most amazing bosses who let me run wild with my adventures when they pop up… but hey, work is work.

Add to that trying to keep the boyfriend happy (he was like “ugh, you’re ignoring me!” — lol), and staying on top of the kids and my mom, even from afar. So yeah, it wasn’t easy at all…But it was so, so worth it.

I have to say, the young people I worked with are without a doubt the future of film and TV. They were responsible, professional, creative, quick-thinking, and, above all, grateful. I learned so much from them.

And my fellow castmates and all the guest actors? Absolutely amazing.
(There were a few hiccups — and I think those reading this can read between the lines — but aside from that, it was a wonderful experience that I’d repeat a thousand times.)

I want to thank each and every one of them for their incredible work, for making me feel like a “Queen” (that’s what they called me!), and for letting me play, create, and be part of their circle.

I wish them all the luck in the world — and I know I’ll see them succeed in the future.

And now for me… it’s time to keep learning, keep chasing new adventures, and let life take me where I’m meant to go, where I’m meant to be, and where I’m meant to arrive.

Always enjoying the moment, the people around me, trying to grow, explore, and being grateful to life and the universe for the gifts we receive every single day.
